Pain felt in your lower back may come from the spine, muscles, nerves, or other structures in that region. It may also radiate from other areas like your mid or upper back, a hernia in the groin, or a problem in the testicles or ovaries.
You may feel a variety of symptoms if you''ve hurt your back. You may have a tingling or burning sensation, a dull aching, or sharp pain. You also may experience weakness in your legs or feet.
The old beliefs pertaining to the capacity of a mind body spirit approach to achieve physical change are being challenged and redefined as pioneers in the field are producing a "body" of evidence that point to majestic implications for integrating healing into healthcare for improved outcomes. www.farrellcenter.org
A new client, in her early 30's, came in to see me today. Her doctor told her she had 'plantar fasciitis' and prescribed meds for her pain. Her toes on the right foot were immobile and when she did try to move them, it was excruciating painful. Additionally, the bottom of her right foot was in pain and she could not stand on it or apply pressure to it. She had been doing cross training 5 days a week and was a little overweight.
I worked on her for about 10 minutes and then had her lie on her back, as I did more manipulations on her right foot.
I noticed her eyebrows were kind of scrunched and sher looked real serious-not at all relaxed, so I asked her if she was in pain from what I was doing to her foot at the time.
Her reply was, "No there's no pain.....I'm just trying to figure out how you did that and what happened because it doesn't hurt anymore and I can wiggle my toes and without them hurting." "See", and she shows me as she looks down at her toes, as they wiggled in the air.
I explained to her that it's better not to limit herself or to 'box in' all the amazing possibilities that could happen, so it's best not to even try and figure it out. Because... the mind is limited and it could never explain all that can happen of what the body is truly capable of.
If you're the parent(s) of a newborn baby, you may be asking yourselves, and the people you know, for advice on how to help your baby that has colic. Fortunately there are many natural, safe remedies you can do to help with colic and one of them is using Craniosacral therapy.
Wikipedia defines craniosacral therapy as, “Craniosacral therapy (also called CST, also spelled CranioSacral bodywork or therapy) is an alternative medicine therapy used by osteopaths, massage therapists, naturopaths, and chiropractors. A craniosacral therapy session involves the therapist placing their hands on the patient, which allows them to tune into what they call the craniosacral rhythm. The practitioner claims to gently work with the spine and the skull and its cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia. In this way, the restrictions of nerve passages are said to be eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spinal cord is said to be optimized, and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper position.”
Below is a story of one baby's experience with CST and his colicky smyptoms. You may set up an appointment with me so that I can help you with your colicky baby using CranioSacral Therapy.
Josephs parents brought him to me when he was just 5 weeks old. He had problems with colic (you could also see it in his parent's sleepless eyes) - and was restless most of the time, with pain coming in waves especially after feeding.
They had decided to feed Joseph with formula rather than breastfeeding and were experimenting with changing the mix - but with little success.
Joseph had a difficult birth - he was born vaginally, but with the cord wrapped around his neck. He cried all the way through the first treatment which lasted for 45 minutes.
During that time I worked on his cranial bones and released restrictions in his neck and at the top of the spine. I find that infants typically need from two to six treatments to see full relief of symptoms and so we arranged to meet again a week later.
When Joseph and his parents returned, they were happy to say that while Joseph had been "cranky" the evening after the treatment, he both fed better and slept more in the following week.
I carried out a similar treatment that day and Joseph was noticeable for his quietness! We had a third and final session two weeks later and Joseph's parents were happy to report that he was now sleeping normally and feeding.
Below is a video entitled, "CranioSacral Therapy Colic Testimonial", from the parents of a baby who had CranioSacral Therapy sessions for his colic symptoms.
I recieved this email and wanted to share it to help you understand...
The End of Whatever By Geoffrey Hoppe
We have arrived. We’re here at the time that has been prophesized for ages. It’s the end of the Mayan calendar cycle that began on August 11, 3114 BC and, according to many experts, ends on December 21, 2012. Adamus says it’s also the end of an old Atlantean era having to do with mental energies. It’s also the Winter Solstice – the end of the fall season, the darkest day of the year, and the beginning of winter. There is also a significant alignment of planets. The equator of the Milky Way galaxy and the path of the sun will cross each other at exactly 11:11 am GMT on December 21, 2012. Every year on the winter solstice, our sun has a Declination of -23.5 degrees, and a Right Ascension of 18 hours. But what makes the alignment of 2012 special is how this alignment occurs relative to very distant stars. On December 21, 2012, the alignment will be right along the plane of the entire galaxy. This precession of the equinoxes goes in a complete circle and happens only once every 26,000 years. So many cycles seem to be ending, and rebirthing. I don’t think there will ever be such a time of convergence and change in our lifetimes. And it’s here right now. I’m writing this article on December 18. In just a few short days the Crimson Circle is holding an End of Whatever celebration in Blackhawk, Colorado. We’ll have an afternoon of Adamus channels, a session with Norma Delaney and some talking with Linda and I. (You can tune in online beginning at 1:00 PM Mountain time. To register go to theCrimson Circle Store). Afterwards we’ll have a celebration dinner for the 80+ attendees there in person, and then some play time at the casino. The December 21 “End of the World” date has gotten a lot of publicity worldwide over the past several years. The New Age and spiritual communities have been talking about it for decades. And here it is, right in our face. Even as I am writing this article a news feature just came on television regarding the End of the World. I also saw a report that said 23% of Americans think the world will end in their lifetimes, and many of them think it will end on Friday. I have a sneaking feeling that there will be a lot of surprised and disappointed people on December 22, 2012 when they see that everything is pretty much the same as it was on December 20. The sun will still rise in the east and set in the west. There will be traffic jams, unpaid bills, the flu bug and last-minute Christmas shopping. (I know of at least one person who is not doing any Christmas shopping this year because they don’t think the planet will make it to December 25.) My concern is what happens after December 21, 2012. Many people will wake up on December 22 with a sense of depression and/or loss of hope because nothing happened on December 21. Tomorrow will be like yesterday. This is one of the current themes in the Adamus Freedom Series. We develop patterns and get into ruts, and then “hope” that some external force will intervene to break us out of prison. We hope for something – anything – to happen on December 21 and when it doesn’t, we feel one step deeper into our prisons. Even a robust earthquake on December 21 would put a “see-I-told-you-so” grin on our faces but when everything is pretty much the same as it was on December 20, we fall from hope.
According to Adamus, there’s a 66% chance that nothing significant will happen on December 21. So on December 22 we’ll drag ourselves from bed, check the Internet news just in case something happened at the last minute, and then with a big sigh we’ll go about the same routine as we did on December 20. And then someone is sure to come up with the next “significant” date such as 3-13-13 or 2-20-2020. It will be another spiritual carrot-date, and another disappointment. Someone will have another grand prediction, and there will be another grand disappointment.
In the meantime, many of those expecting something big to happen on December 21 will feel a sense of betrayal, both by their inner guidance and by their spiritual teachers. Some will totally drop out of their spiritual pursuit and perhaps even out of life. Others will hop over to the next spiritual whiz-bang phenomena.
When oh when will we ever learn?
Maybe, just maybe, some of us will realize that the specific date of December 21 isn’t nearly as important as the opportunity of a change that begins deep within each of us, personally and individually. I have no doubt that December 21 carries significant meaning and energy. I can feel it deep in my core this week. Something IS happening! But it’s not in the outer world. It’s a movement deep within each and every one of us. It’s not an external intervention. It’s an inner transformation. But so many will totally miss it because they continue to look outside of themselves.
Post-December 21 there will be potentials like never before. There is the potential to realize and experience the greatest gift of all: Self Love. And the potential to integrate your aspects. There is the grand potential to allow your divinity to meld with your body and mind, into what Adamus calls the Body of Consciousness. Post-December 21 the rest of the world is going to be coping with major issues such as mental imbalance, lack of abundance, war and violence. There will be even more tragic events like we saw last week in the Sandy Hook School, Connecticut. You can almost count on it because of the tremendous mental pressures facing our societies. But you don’t need to get caught in it, nor do you want to.
When you wake up on December 22 and realize that it’s just another day on planet Earth, take a deep breath instead of a deep sigh. Go inside yourself for a moment. Remember that you brought all of these energies of personal change into your life, and your life is in the process of making a huge shift into embodied, conscious spirit. Take a look at how far you’ve come these past 10 – 20 years, then thank yourself for making it (mostly) intact to the marker date of December 22. Put aside what’s going on in the outer world, and then get ready for a series of quantum transformations that begin to unfold in your life. You see, it never was about what was going to happen on December 21. It’s always been about what was going to happen AFTER this historic marker.

And he’s like, 'No, it’s all true.'" Such is the charm of "Big Miracle," an unbelievable true story about what happened to the world when a family of three grey whales became trapped in the arctic waters just outside Point Barrow, Alaska in 1988."
"Based, in part, on the book "Freeing the Whales: How the Media Created the World's Greatest Non-Event" by Thomas Rose, "Miracle" focuses on a budding television reporter (Krasinski) who stumbles onto the story of his life in sleepy Point Barrow. Soon, oil company executives, his ex-girlfriend-cum-Greenpeace activist (played by Drew Barrymore), reporters from around the country and even the office of Ronald Reagan are involved in the rescue effort."

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/10/26/prescription-drugs-number-one-cause-preventable-death-in-us.aspxBY Dr. MercolaDeath by medicine is a 21st-century epidemic, and America's "war on drugs" is clearly directed at the wrong enemy! Prescription drugs are now killing far more people than illegal drugs, and while most major causes of preventable deaths are declining, those from prescription drug use are increasing, an analysis of recently released data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by the Los Angeles Times revealed. The Times analysis of 2009 death statistics, the most recent available, showed:
Again, these drug-induced fatalities are not being driven by illegal street drugs; the analysis found that the most commonly abused prescription drugs like OxyContin, Vicodin, Xanax and Soma now cause more deaths than heroin and cocaine combined. "Pharmageddon" is Upon Us(Please see click on link above to read full article)
- For the first time ever in the US, more people were killed by drugs than motor vehicle accidents
- 37,485 people died from drugs, a rate fueled by overdoses on prescription pain and anxiety medications, versus 36,284 from traffic accidents
- Drug fatalities more than doubled among teens and young adults between 2000 and 2008, and
