I began by working on the left TMJ.

I immediately get this 'inner message' telling me that the cause is from having repeated, irritating incidents at work, that ends up causing her to have this jaw pain. That they are little annoyances to her that eventually build up to having major physical pain in body.

What was happening, as I explained this to her, was that she had these desires to speak up during the minor conflicts at work, but she stops herself from speaking up and voicing her thoughts, and this is what is causing her repeated irritants that builds to jaw pain.

She stops herself from speaking out so her TMJ gets knotted up, becuase she is also at the same time, wanting or attempting to, move and open her mouth to speak- hence causing these TMJ knots of conflict. Her subconscious mind won't let her open her mouth, at the same time her subconscious mind wants to open her mouth, literally...whch is causing physical ailments in her body (the TMJ).

Not allowing herself to speak up was based on this inner belief of her's that talking would get her in trouble.

I then explained to her that the next time there is a conflict at work, to put herself as coming from a place of respect to her boss as she speaks up- providing information that could possibly be a solution, or helpful information, for the company.

This is all given from her as she speaks, in a place of humbleness and respect , from her heart- with not having any need to control the outcome of their talk. With her coming from a place of being neutral, not trying to control the results in any direction whatsoever.

Doing this will satisfy the need for her to speak up, and to also provide insight for her boss. It can be a win-win solution.

If her boss does not accept or appreciate her information, that's on him/her- and not in my clients control and so be it.

The Universe will handle the results of the talk in the highest and best way for all involved (and will do so in such a great way that was not expected).

She can't get in trouble for speaking up, I tell her, because she was coming from a place of respect and insightfulness, without wanting to control, have approval, or safety.

By speaking up, she gets to move her mouth and TMJ, so it's no longer conflicting her body and mind.

The right side was where she had felt the pain. Working on the left side- I felt tenacious, deep knots in the TMJ and mouth. As I released it, we could both feel the left side of face, TMJ, and inner mouth expanding, elongating, loosening- as the fascia released itself.

The right side tightness and pain was related to the tight right side of neck, chest, TMJ, and armpit. The TMJ was pulling at the chest...as I helped released the chest armpit area- she could feel the TMJ loosening.

After we were finished she felt openness and no pain. She said she didn't realize that the the TMJ was effecting her neck, until I started releasing the right neck area.

These knots work in layers like an onion, and further visits are suggested to help eliminate the deeper planted restrictions.

Unraveling the Mystery of Body Discomfort: The Overlooked Role of Fascia

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/unraveling-the-mystery-of-body-discomfort-the-overlooked-role-of-fascia

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/unraveling-the-mystery-of-body-discomfort-the-overlooked-role-of-fascia#comments

Uncategorized

The Overlooked Role of FasciaHave you ever considered that the root of almost all body discomfort might be hidden in plain sight within us? 🔍 A staggering 99.9% of body-related challenges stem from an often overlooked yet crucial component of our physical well-being: fascia knots. These tiny culprits can lead to a domino effect of health issues, yet they remain largely under the radar. Today, let’s dive deep into understanding how caring for our fascia can be the key to unlocking a healthier, pain-free life. ✨

Fascia, a web-like layer of connective tissue, is the unsung hero of our bodily functions. When knotted, it can lead to skeletal misalignments, making one limb slightly shorter than the other, and wreak havoc on our posture and overall comfort. These misalignments are not just cosmetic concerns but can significantly affect our mobility and quality of life. Imagine a house's framework slightly off-kilter – the doors won’t close properly, and the floors might squeak or be uneven. Similarly, when our body’s fascia pulls our skeletal system out of alignment, we experience a cascade of physical challenges.

Moreover, fascia knots do not limit their influence to our skeleton alone. They venture further, often compressing our organs and making it difficult for them to function efficiently. This compression can mean reduced nutrient and oxygen supply, leading to a variety of malfunctions and discomfort. Additionally, when fascia exerts pressure on our nerves, the result is pain – sometimes sharp and shooting, other times dull and persistent. Furthermore, these knots can slow down our lymphatic system, leading to inflammation and more pain, making our bodies feel like they are constantly battling against us. 🚫

But the story doesn't end with just problems. There’s a silver lining: soft tissue myofascial release. This technique, relatively simple yet incredibly effective, can address a majority of the issues caused by fascia knots. Through specific, targeted massage and therapy methods, we can release these knots, realign our body, and restore function. The benefits are not just physical; they extend to our energetic chi flow, rejuvenating our body's energy and vitality. Imagine pressing a reset button and feeling your body thank you for the relief and newfound freedom. ✨🙌

Conclusively, while the fascia's role in our health may have been underestimated in the past, it’s clear that its proper care is paramount for our overall well-being. Incorporating soft tissue myofascial release into our wellness routines could be the breakthrough many of us have been searching for. Let's not allow something as manageable as fascia knots to dictate our comfort and health. It’s time we take control, unravel the knots, and pave the way for a pain-free, vibrant life. Because, after all, our bodies are our homes, and they deserve to be cared for with love, knowledge, and diligence. 🌟

So, let's start this journey together, shall we? Taking that first step towards understanding our bodies better can lead us to unimaginable heights of wellness and happiness. Remember, when it comes to our health, knowledge is not just power; it’s empowerment. 🌈

Help For Neck Pain

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/help-for-neck-pain

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/help-for-neck-pain#comments

Uncategorized

Image by Marjon Besteman-Horn from PixabayWhat Is Neck Pain?Neck pain is any time your neck hurts. It's a common problem with lots of causes.

Your neck has a tough job. It holds up the same weight as a bowling ball all day long. The bones at the top of your spine , along with your muscles and ligaments, support your head, which weighs about 11 pounds.

It can be a delicate balance. Things like sleeping wrong and bad posture can cause neck pain, as more than one-quarter of American adults can tell you. It isn't usually a symptom of a more serious health problem.

Neck Pain Symptoms

If your neck hurts, you may notice other symptoms including:

Pain that gets worse when you hold your head a certain way while working on a computer, driving, or doing other tasks

Muscle tightness or spasms

Trouble moving your neck or headaches

Neck Pain Diagnosis

Call your doctor if your neck pain is severe, doesn't respond to treatment, gets worse over time, or includes numbness, weakness, or tingling and pain in your arms and legs.

Your doctor may ask:

When did the pain start?

Have you been injured?

Do you have numbness or weakness in your arms or hands?

Does moving your neck in a certain way make things better or worse?

Does coughing or sneezing make the pain worse?

Your doctor has many tools to figure out what's wrong. They could order X-rays, an MRI CT scan , EMG (electromyography ), or blood tests.

Neck Pain Treatment

Treatments could include muscle relaxants, physical therapy , a padded neck collar, or traction.

In rare situations, you may need shots of cortisone or even surgery.

With treatment, your neck will usually stop hurting in a few days. Use medicines like acetaminophen aspirin , or ibuprofen to ease pain. Put an ice pack on your neck for the first 2 to 3 days to help lower swelling. After that, use moist heat, like a hot shower or a heating pad, to help it heal. There are also exercises you can do at home (or in front of your computer at work) to gently stretch your neck muscles.

You can also visit a chiropractor or get a neck massage for relief.

Source: webmd.com

What Causes a Stiff Neck? Try These Simple Remedies

With so many of us gazing into computers or staring down at our smart phones most of the day, it's no wonder data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that nearly 20% of us have experienced neck pain within the past three months.

Cleveland Clinic is a non-profit academic medical center. Advertising on our site helps support our mission. We do not endorse non-Cleveland Clinic products or services.

A stiff neck typically is the result of muscles weakening over time from poor posture or misuse, says chiropractor Andrew Bang, DC.

Looking down at your computer monitor all day can cause the muscles around the neck joints to tire and become overstretched. Driving for long periods of time or looking at your smart phone can have the same effect. If you're doing this day after day, it can add up and can displace your neck joints.

“When your neck muscles become weak and you try to turn your head, the joint no longer moves smoothly because it's now out of place,” Dr. Bang says. “Often the joint catches on something, either pulling a muscle or hitting the nerve irregularly, or maybe both.

Stretching can keep pain at bay

Putting your monitor at eye level, sitting up straight and avoiding tilting and twisting your head down or to the side while you're on the computer can help you avoid neck pain. When you're driving or looking at your smart phone, be sure to take frequent breaks and avoid having your neck bent forward for long periods of time, Dr. Bang says.

The key to relief for a stiff neck is proper stretching and manipulation, Dr. Bang says. Here are some stretches you can try at your desk or in the car that may help you to avoid a stiff neck:

Roll your shoulders backwards and down 10 times.

Squeeze your shoulder blades together 10 times.

Push your head backwards into your car head rest or hands and hold for 30 seconds.

Bring your ear to your shoulder 10 times on each side.

Take care when you sleep

Dr. Bang says if your neck is bothering you, you also should pay attention to your sleep positions. Sleep only on your side or on your back – never on your stomach, he says.

“When you sleep on your stomach, often you will end up twisting your head one way or the other for hours at a time,” Dr. Bang says. “Sleeping on your stomach also can affect your low back because your belly sinks in to the bed if you don't have enough support.” Advertising Policy For minor, common causes of neck pain, try these simple remedies:

Apply heat or ice to the painful area. Use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, then use heat after that. Heat may be applied with warm showers, hot compresses or a heating pad. Be sure not to fall asleep with a heating pad or ice bag in place to avoid skin injuries.

Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.

Do slow range-of-motion exercises, up and down, side to side, and from ear to ear. This helps to gently stretch the neck muscles.

Have a partner gently massage the sore or painful areas.

Try sleeping on a firm mattress without a pillow or with a special neck pillow.

Ask your health care provider about using a soft neck collar to relieve discomfort. Don't use the collar for a long time. Doing so can make your neck muscles weaker.

If the pain gets in the way of your daily activities, Dr. Bang says to call your doctor.

Source: health.clevelandclinic.org

Getting Relief For Your Neck Pain

You can use one or more of these methods to help reduce neck pain:

Use over-the-counter pain relievers such as aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin), naproxen (Aleve), or acetaminophen (Tylenol).

Apply heat or ice to the painful area. Use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, then use heat.

Apply heat using warm showers, hot compresses, or a heating pad.

To prevent injuring your skin, do not fall asleep with a heating pad or ice bag in place.

Have a partner gently massage the sore or painful areas.

Try sleeping on a firm mattress with a pillow that supports your neck. You may want to get a special neck pillow. You can find them at some pharmacies or retail stores.

Ask your health care provider about using a soft neck collar to relieve discomfort.

Only use the collar for 2 to 4 days at most.

Using a collar for longer can make your neck muscles weaker. Take it off from time to time to allow the muscles to get stronger.

Acupuncture also may help relieve neck pain.

Stretches and Exercises For Neck Pain Prevention

As part of physical therapy, you may receive massage and stretching exercises along with exercises to strengthen your neck. Exercise can help you:

Improve your posture

Strengthen your neck and improve flexibility

A complete exercise program should include:

Follow the instructions of your doctor or physical therapist.

This may involve walking, riding a stationary bicycle, or swimming. These activities can help improve blood flow to your muscles and promote healing. They also strengthen muscles in your stomach, neck, and back.

Stretching and strengthening exercises are important in the long run. Keep in mind that starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. Strengthening the muscles in your upper back can ease the stress on your neck.

Your physical therapist can help you determine when to begin neck stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them.

Source: medlineplus.gov

How To Sit At Your Desk Without Causing Neck Pain

Working at a desk is a common cause of back and neck pain. To alleviate this discomfort, redesign your workspace to encourage well-aligned posture.

By Jill M. Henderzahs-Mason P.T.

Do you feel creaky, achy and stiff by the end of the workday? Sitting most of the day is detrimental to your health, but other work-related factors can compromise your well-being, too.

Working at a desk is a common cause of back and neck pain, often because you accommodate to your workstation rather than the other way around. For instance, many people strain to see a computer monitor that is too far away, too low, too high, too small or too dim. This compromises good posture. The average human head weighs almost 12 pounds (5.4 kilograms) the equivalent of a bowling ball! When your neck is bent to 45 degrees, your head exerts nearly 50 pounds (23 kilograms) of force on your neck. In addition to straining joints and muscles in your neck and shoulders, the pressure affects your breathing and mood.

To alleviate this stress, redesign your workspace to encourage well-aligned posture. There are many ways to improve the ergonomics efficiency and comfort level of a typical workstation. Start by answering these questions.

Is your monitor positioned so that you can see it well without straining?

Raise or lower the monitor or your chair so your eyes are level with the top of the screen. If you wear bifocals, you may need to lower the monitor another 1 to 2 inches.

Move the monitor closer or farther away so that you can easily read the screen.

Increase the font size you use.

If using a laptop, link to a larger monitor.

Are your mouse and keyboard positioned so that you don't have to reach up to use them?

Lower your desk height or raise your chair so that your forearms are parallel to the floor or pointed slightly downward and your wrists are not pointing either upward or downward.

Source: mayoclinic.org

Help for Chronic Lower Back Pain

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/help-for-chronic-lower-back-pain

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/help-for-chronic-lower-back-pain#comments

Uncategorized

Low back pain in Sacramento Last week I got a call from a gentleman, who lived in another city, asking for help with his chronic back pain. He said he has been suffering with this pain for over 30 years, ( starting from car accident at age 17 and a 2nd car accident a few years later), and did not really know if I could help, but hopefully that I would be able to at least reduce this intense pain that he has been feeling 24/7 for most of his adult life.He said he had been to chiropra [...]

Low back pain in Sacramento

Last week I got a call from a gentleman, who lived in another city, asking for help with his chronic back pain. He said he has been suffering with this pain for over 30 years, ( starting from car accident at age 17 and a 2nd car accident a few years later), and did not really know if I could help, but hopefully that I would be able to at least reduce this intense pain that he has been feeling 24/7 for most of his adult life.

He said he had been to chiropractor and to other forms of therapies and that he was willing to drive the hour or so that it took to get here. He said that he knew that it would require many visits, he imagined at least 10 visits, to help this situation and that he was willing to do that.

Interestingly, as I worked on him, and as he felt the pain releasing and leaving - he commented that he believed that the Thai massages that he was getting.... he now believes that 'the strokes from the Thai massage therapist is what caused his knots to form even larger and that they pushed the knots down deeper.'

When he left my 1st session, he was completely pain free.

I got an unexpected phone call from him 4 hours later. What he said was, "Hey, I'm not used to not feeling any pain." "Is this how it's going to be all the time, because I can't recall spending my day without feeling that nagging back pain?" "I mean, if it is, then that's terrific!" " I just wanted to tell you that this is so great!"

When he came in yesterday for his 2nd session, he mentioned that his back pain was no where the intensity as it was before and that 'he felt more better than bad.'

As I worked on him he said that he could feel what I was doing, that he could feel the effects of his tight tissues releasing and letting go. He was becoming more in tune with his body, which is where everyone should be, so your body can transform for you.

He also mentioned again that the Thai massage therapist, (whom he sought care from often in the past), he believes was the cause for his increased back troubles. I told him then he was probably right, not to bad mouth the other therapist, but to enforce listening to that quiet voice, that we should always follow and heed our intuition. If that's what it's telling you, then you need to respect and hear it, or else you'll have future difficulty with the intuition 'speaking' to you again and you would most likely be unsettled in 'knowing', or having strong intuition, wisdom, or guidance.

A few hours later after his second session, I texted the client asking how he felt- if it was different from how he felt after his first session. Here is his reply:

If you know of anyone suffering from chronic pain or problems, (physical or emotional), let them know that they do not have to live with it. I had a woman with a foot lift, for her shorter right leg, which caused her much body pain- find relief as I was able to help her leg resume it's length and also deactivate all of the pain;
2. I helped a gentleman who's been suffering much pain, after 12 major orthopedic surgeries, find freedom and greater flexibility with range of movement, plus no longer feeling any pain-so that now he is considering going back to work. ( He was in so much pain that he could not focus or think clearly, besides the intense pain and loss of body function);
3. Met with a woman who had 3 surgeries for a breast mastectomy that left her with her arm and hand so swollen, hard, and tight that she came in with her elbow bent and arm raised in the air because she could not lower her arm. She suffered much pain and could not lay on stomach or move without pain. At 1st session her swelling went down, her tissues softened, her arm went down to her side, she laid on stomach, and she no longer felt pain. She told me she could feel the pain releasing.
4. My 8 month old pup was near death. She greeted me Thursday morning with no wagging tail, no moving around, no getting up, but had sad eyes, full of pain as she just laid there. She would not eat. I suspected that she swallowed the hard plastic pieces of a shelving set, that she kept stealing and chewing on. I worked on her body, physically and energetically, and encouraged her in thoughts. Then, I had to go to work. I returned 4 hours later and she greeted me standing up, tail wagging, tongue hanging out, and I saw that she ate all the food in her bowl. She even passed #2 when she went outside.

(Also, here is a comment from another client: "Thank you Vicki for seeing me last week. I had a pinching in my lower back that was messed up from changing a truck tire over the summer. My usual routine and chiropractic treatment to get over this type of injury was not working. I felt much better after one visit and and had a follow up session 4 days later. It's been a week since the last visit and I've played volleyball 4 times this week. Still feeling good! Thank you!"

Pretty much this is what happens on 1st sessions with everyone that I see, who come in with extreme problems or pains.I relate these results with the changes taking part on earth and in the energy and cells of everyone.
Soon, I feel everyone will experience this, as our body was not meant to disease or age.

Sacramento Hemorrhoids Cure

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/sacramento-hemorrhoids-cure

https://www.release-the-pain.com/blog/sacramento-hemorrhoids-cure#comments

Uncategorized

Hemorrhoids Cure Sacramento Are You Looking For Help With Hemorrhoids In Sacramento?
